If you are struggling and need help, let's figure out together what tools, skills, resources, and/or awareness might benefit you.
I've always had a passion for being of service to others and feel honored to be able to accompany clients as they discover new facets of themselves, find new strengths, and change patterns to live a more content, peaceful life.
I, like many therapists, use an eclectic approach to tailor therapy to each individual client. Some theories and therapies I typically use are:
• Attachment Theory
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Gestalt Therapy
• Mindfulness and relaxation skills
• With children and teens, I use therapeutic games, a combination of art, play, and sand tray or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I received my Master's of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Sacramento.
Professional membership in the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
I have previously worked with the San Juan Unified School District, providing services to K-8th graders and have also worked with a local non-profit agency, counseling people of all ages.
